Governance

ERA Water Regional Subsidiary (ERA Water) is a Regional Subsidiary established on 21 July 2015 under Section 43 of the Local Government Act 1999. The owners of ERA Water are known as the Constituent Councils.

THE CONSTITUENT COUNCILS

The Constituent Councils of ERA Water are:

  • The City of Burnside

  • The City of Norwood, Payneham & St Peters

  • The Corporation of the Town of Walkerville

THE ERA WATER CHARTER

ERA Water is governed by a Charter. The ERA Water Charter provides for the supply of recycled urban storm water on behalf of its Constituent Councils in the eastern suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia.

GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT

ERA Water is led by a General Manager who is responsible to a Board. The Board comprises an Independent Chairperson and representatives from each of the three Constituent Councils.

THE GENERAL MANAGER

  • Andrew Aitken

    Andrew joined ERA Water in March 2023 as General Manager, with extensive management and senior leadership experience in the local government and private sectors. He also held a number of board roles including on council subsidiaries. Andrew has acquired considerable expertise in strategic planning and delivery, people development and business performance.
